Black streaks are caused by Gloeocapsa Magma, a type of algae that feeds on limestone filler in asphalt shingles. Left untreated, it spreads and shortens the life of your roof.
We never use high-pressure washing on roofs — it can strip granules from shingles, void manufacturer warranties, and cause leaks. We use soft washing exclusively: low pressure with professional-grade cleaning solutions that kill algae at the root.
